Reviews Overview

Most Liked

The carvery steals the show here, drawing crowds especially on Wednesdays and Sundays. Diners rave about the mouthwatering gravy and fresh roast meats, which make for an unbeatable Sunday lunch experience. Families appreciate the indoor and outdoor play areas that keep kids entertained, providing a stress-free dining experience for parents. Many patrons also enjoy the diverse menu, which offers everything from hearty breakfasts to savory homemade pizzas. Additionally, the pub's commitment to cleanliness, evidenced by its high hygiene rating, reassures visitors about their dining choices. Coupled with friendly service, these factors keep guests coming back for more.

Most Disliked

Some diners express concerns about inconsistent meal quality. For example, instances of bland dishes, such as the chicken tikka masala, have resulted in disappointment for a few customers. Additionally, a few reviews highlight issues with noise levels during busy hours, particularly with children running around unsupervised. Such situations can detract from the pub's otherwise family-friendly vibe. A lack of seating availability during peak times, especially on Sundays around 3 PM, has also been noted, suggesting that reservations are a sound strategy to ensure a relaxed dining experience. Overall, while the majority of feedback is positive, these occasional challenges can impact the overall atmosphere.

We visited on the Saturday lunchtime of the Easter weekend and found the place surprisingly quiet. The service was very good and we ordered food and found the quality of what we received to be very good. It was piping hot and very freshly cooked, so on this basis, we will be returning in the near future.

Quite local to me. Fab breakfast, lovely desserts as well. *edited* Just returned for my birthday evening meal (normally only have breakfast here) sorry to say I wasn't impressed with my meal at all (chicken tikka massala) it was a lump of shredded chicken with basically no sauce, so bland, came with white rice aswel which is unusual, worst chicken tikka massala i've ever had and I have this alot when eating out. Deserts were nice. Also, to add kids running feral around the restaurant, screaming and shouting, parent's letting their child run around on the seats next to where we were eating. Climbing over the railings, etc, and nothing was said. We will never come here for an evening meal again!

A Fantastic Evening at The Wye Inn – Exceptional Food & Service Our Rotary Club recently enjoyed a wonderful evening at The Wye Inn in Hereford, and we couldn’t have been more impressed with the experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome, providing friendly and attentive service throughout the evening. Their professionalism and warmth added to the relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere, making it a truly memorable dining experience for our group. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the fantastic carvery. The selection of beautifully cooked meats was outstanding—tender, flavourful, and served in generous portions. The accompaniments were just as impressive, with a great selection of fresh vegetables, crispy roast potatoes, and rich, flavoursome gravy that tied everything together perfectly. Every dish was well-prepared and full of hearty, traditional flavours, making it a real treat for everyone at the table. Overall, our visit to The Wye Inn was a fantastic experience, thanks to the excellent food and first-class service. The team went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful evening, and we’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-quality meal in Hereford. We’ll certainly be returning for another carvery soon!
